Somerville (Somerset County)

Dr. Elisabeth Spector, M.D. was born at what is now Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick and grew up in the town of Somerset. She majored in Philosophy at Rutgers University and subsequently worked for two years in Nepal as a science teacher with the Peace Corps. When she returned to the U.S., she decided to return to school, first at the University of Pennsylvania to complete her pre-medical requirements and then Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in Piscataway. During this time, she also completed a Master of Public Health and was awarded a Clinical Prevention Fellowship.

She attended Hunterdon Family Medicine residency in Flemington and received recognition with the Mead Johnson Award, given to 20 family medicine residents in the country who exemplify leadership in the field. She served as chief resident and also received the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine's Resident Teacher award.

Dr. Spector was also elected by her New Jersey family medicine peers to serve on the New Jersey Academy of Family Physicians Board of Trustees and was appointed to the Emergency Medical Services for Children Advisory Council of New Jersey. Further, Dr. Spector currently serves as the Medical Director of the Somerset County Department of Health.

Dr. Spector was delighted to join the Somerset County Partnership Health Center team in the Fall of 2017. She thrives on the autonomy of being the Medical Director and embraces Partnership Health Center's innovative model of providing excellent service and expertise to our patients. She particularly enjoys the collaborative nature of the office and finding ways of reducing the barriers to care that often create difficulties for our patients.

Lisa Rose, BSN, RN is the Nurse Manager of the Somerset County Partnership Health Center. Originally from Brooklyn, New York, Lisa has dedicated 24 years to nursing, with significant experience in the ICU and Telemetry. For the past 19 years, Rose's focus has been on employee health, serving major organizations such as Goldman Sachs and Johnson & Johnson.

Outside of my professional life, Lisa is an avid reader and enjoys watching Chinese and Korean soap operas. I am a proud parent to two children-an 18-year-old daughter and a 13-year-old son-and we share our home with our beloved dachshund, Abigail, affectionately known as Abby.

Her mission as Nurse Manager of the Somerset County Partnership Health Center, as Lisa states it, "is to ensure that our patients achieve and maintain wellness while providing them with a unique and personalized medical experience."
